With the help of these channels a football or a cricket match played on the other side of the globe can be enjoyed sitting in the drawing room on TV screen. Many scenes and programmes which are detrimental to national culture are broadcast through these channels.
Today the youths watch them and are misguided . Students waste their valuable time by watching these vulgar programmers. Though they get some valuable information through these channels, it cannot be a substitute for serious studies. It is rather a serious attack on local cultures. Besides too much dependence on TV programme destroys the originality in thinking.
Considering all these things the satellite channels should carefully be maintained . Our children and youths should be encouraged to watch educative and informative programmes.
